Light Printer

In an effort to become more familiar with Arduino and electronics I tried to build an installation that was able to convert an ordinary image to a light painted one. Two stepper motors found in old scanners and one LED light are controlled by Arduino which gets it's commands directly from Processing. A digital photo camera captures the whole event in bulb mode creating a new image. It's still a work in progress. When it's finished it should be able to produce color images using a RGB LED and a web application should allow people to upload their own pictures and get a light painted one in return.
